If you are being prompted to enter
a user name and password other than the Site ID that came
with your book, it is being caused by a slight glitch
with Office 2000. In order to correct this problem, Office
2000 patch, called SR-1, needs to be downloaded and installed
on a PC. You can do this by following these instructions:
- Go to the office download page http://office.microsoft.com/ProductUpdates,
and select the 'Scan my computer to find out if I need
any Office updates. ' - the automatic detection to see
if the user needs to install Office 2000 Security
Upgrades SR-1. Note that there is a distinctive
difference in SR-1 and SR-1a.
- Once the detection is completed, check the box for SR-1
download following the step by step upgrade process. It'll
walk you through the upgrade process. Reboot your PC when
complete.
