Comparative and Superlative Adjectives

A comparative or superlative adjective is used to compare thedegree of some quality of one item with the degree of the same quality in another item[comparative] or in multiple others [superlative]. Comparativeadjectives, that is, indicate that an item has more or less of the quality, whereas superlative adjectives indicate that the item has the greatest or leastamount of the quality.
