Other Grammatical Characteristics of Nouns

Besides countability, nounscan be described by four other important grammatical characteristics: gender, number, person, and case. Thesegrammatical characteristics are reflected in the choice of pronouns, the choice of number endings on the noun (singular or plural), and the choice of subject-verb agreement endings when the noun is a subject.
